NEW CONSTRUCTION
Two lots side by side –
Initially, we planned to construct a new home on one lot and planned to renovate an existing home on the second lot by opening up the main floor and adding a master suite loft. We drew up plans, took measurements and imagined ways to bring this home back to life.
Upon further inspection of that home, too many problems presented themselves to affordably remodel the existing structure. We shifted to plans for a new build. Building two homes side by side is a practical solution that helps keep costs more affordable.
The Vision
Affordable housing is hard to come by these days and has a bad rep. Affordable usually means second rate. Katanic Built has set out to change that. Obviously, there will always be compromises when it comes to lowering costs, but we’ve set out to find ways to minimize the impact of things like less square footage, and we want to set the bar when it comes to the quality of an affordable build.
Both of these homes are a remix of our Lela plan, but we’ve given each one it’s own personality.
